Forum: classic_tv Subject: O.K. to upload early 50's BBC children programs/The Invaders 1967?

Hello, I have a few 1950's British BBC children programs that date from 1952 to 1957 in my collection. I have seen what has been written on the forum about the copyright status of these early 50's British shows. They have no writing or music credits in the opening/closing titles. Are they okay to upload?
Also I have a couple of episodes of the 1967 TV series 'The Invaders' I have seen these listed as public domain on the net, but is that true/right?
Look forward to contributing!

I'd like to see Space Patrol - the BBC production featuring puppets, not the US show of the same name. Is there any chance that's a series you have?

Thanks everybody for your help. I will then have a go at uploading the few children shows I have. I'm new to this, so give me a little time, in case I take a wrong turn!

On Space Patrol, I guess you must mean the 60's series? That won't be PD but you can get it on DVD from Network www.networkdvd.co.uk they do some great obscure TV show sets with loads of rare bonus features. Would think you'd need a compatible multi-region DVD player to play it though.

50's BBC kids show should be OK to upload. Indeed, Any Pre-1958 british TV is public domain (They have different copyright laws to the US)

Would advise against uploading Invaders.I have a bunch of those, and am 99% sure that they arent of public domain.Others would probably be okay, would be interesting to see.
